This is a wee video time lapse showing how I added the colour elements to the complex scene for the “Spring” design. The original scene was created using the hand-drawn individual motifs, and then using Procreate I began to add three/four layers of different digital watercolour brushes to build-up the colour. By doing this digitally it has also allowed me to change the colours in the future should I wish and/or screen print the different layers.
