Handmade Luxury Velvet Cushion, "Fankled Flooers"
“Fankled Flooers” from my Tales of Hame collection. Handmade 43cmx43cm luxury velvet cushion.
I believe textiles are a canvas for storytelling, and each of my designs take inspiration from an experience or a memory. Whilst creating this piece I was thinking of the gardens I grew-up playing in that my Dad tended too. “Fankled” in Scots means “Tangled” and “Flooers” is “Flowers”. Each Summer and Autumn the gardens were bursting with colourful flowers and hedgerows that I could play hide-n-seek in.
Beautifully handsewn to the highest standards using a soft velvet front showcasing the design with a purple cotton backing with matching piping detail, and a hidden zip closure.
Cushions are wrapped in tissue paper for a professional finish and are securely boxed. Items are shipped using 2nd Class Signed For Royal Mail service.

We will soon be changing suppliers to another UK based business to handmake our cushions. The current stock is handmade by the talented Caroline from COtoo who will soon be starting her own printed textiles business.
